As the most common parking system in Asia (including China, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia), the lift-and-shift multi-level parking garage is both cost-effective and easy to use, with its convenience directly impacting the end-user experience. Making vehicle access and retrieval simpler and safer has always been a key focus of the industry. Maihaisheng Multi-Level Parking Garages address this from the design stage, implementing three core optimizations to ensure that the user experience rivals—or even surpasses—that of surface parking lots.
Ⅰ Upgraded vehicle compatibility to accommodate more models
To reduce costs, traditional multi-story parking garages typically design parking spaces to be 5 meters long, 1.85 meters wide, and 1.55 meters high. These compact dimensions are extremely inconvenient for large vehicles. Maihaisheng has expanded the standard parking space dimensions to 5.3 meters long*1.95 meters wide*1.95 meters high, offering significant advantages:
1. Flexible floor-to-ceiling height: Both the first and top floors can accommodate SUVs, while the second floor is suitable for large sedans, meeting the diverse automotive needs of families.
2. Extra-wide loading deck: With a width 200 mm wider than the standard 2,000 mm, it easily accommodates wide-body luxury vehicles such as the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The increased reversing space makes parking easier, which is particularly convenient for female drivers.
Ⅱ Design for foundation pit settlement to ensure “level entry and exit”
In traditional multi-story parking garages, the vehicle platforms are typically about 10 cm above ground level, requiring vehicles to drive onto them via a ramp. When reversing, drivers often need to gently press the accelerator, which increases the risk of scraping the vehicle. Maihaisheng employs a sunken foundation design, lowering the vehicle platforms by 10 cm so that they are completely flush with the ground.
This design allows vehicles to pull into the parking space as smoothly as they would into a flat parking spot, without the need to control the accelerator, truly achieving "smooth entry and exit." Not only does it eliminate the safety hazards associated with ramps, but it also makes it easy for novice drivers to park securely, significantly enhancing the parking experience.
Ⅲ Zone Control: Fault Isolation Without Affecting the System as a Whole
To prevent a single failure from causing the entire parking lot to shut down, Maihaisheng limits the number of parking spaces in each independent control zone to 20 or fewer. A parking lot with 100 spaces is divided into at least five independent zones; even if a failure occurs in one zone, the others remain fully operational, ensuring the parking lot’s efficient operation to the greatest extent possible.
